Shitokai Austria earns gold und silver at the Pan-American Shitoryu Championships 2025 in Miami

Shitokai Austria Wins Gold and Two Silver Medals at the 2025 Pan-American Shitoryu Championships in Miami – Strong Performance on the International Stage!



From November 7–9, 2025, the karateka of Shitokai Austria participated in the 19th International Shitoryu Karate Championships organized by the PSKF in Miami, Florida, USA. This event is considered one of the most important international tournaments in the Shitō-ryū style and attracts athletes from North, Central, and South America as well as Europe and Asia.


In a highly competitive field, our team earned one gold medal and two silver medals – a resounding success for Shitokai Austria!




About the Event - What’s Behind It?

The 19th Pan-American Shitoryu Festival & International Shitoryu Karate Championships is organized by the Pan-American Shitoryu Karate-Do Federation (PSKF). The PSKF is the continental governing body for Shitoryu Karate in North, Central, and South America and is part of the global Shitoryu network.


Kyoshi Shoko Sato serves as the President of the PSKF.

Our Achievements in Miami

Despite fierce competition, our karateka, guided by Sensei Drago Mezga, demonstrated outstanding performance, fighting spirit, and precise Shitō-ryū technique.
